I explained in my last Glossybox review that there's nothing better than getting a little treat through
the post each month which tops up my makeup bag and also helps me
discover new products. What's not to love?!
The theme of this months box was Pretty Pleasures and contained an array of different products worth just over £75 from a beauty blender, a liquid lipstick, a primer and more! If you're thinking about investing in a Gossybox subscription and are curious about what this months products were, then keep reading!
Figs & Rouge Blurring
Primer (RRP £38)
I don't know how they do it but Glossybox always
seems to know when I need a new specific type of product. Call it magic or just
coincidence, either way I'm not complaining. Usually I use the high-adherence
silicone primer from The Ordinary but I've recently ran out of it and since no shops are open and I also have nowhere
to go, I haven't got round to buying another. I'm excited to try this new primer
out though as it has pore minimising and anti-blemish properties while also
containing hyaluronic acid as it's key ingredient. If you've ever read any
of my other beauty related posts or watched my YouTube videos you'll know
that I absolutely love and swear by hyaluronic acid because of how well it
retains moisture and helps plump the skin making it look more energised. If you
want me to do a review once I've used it, then let me know!
Nails Inc Palace Gardens Nail
Polish (RRP £11)
Can we all take a moment of silence for how I've
not had acrylics done for a year now! After being traumatised trying to remove
my own acrylics during the first lockdown, I thought I'd play it safe a stick
to polish until I know nail shops are back open for good. Sticking to polish
has done my nails the world of good but nothing beats the sound of your
acrylics tapping on your phone when you type. ANYWAY, back to the product...
It's hard to find nail polish that doesn't chip five minutes after you've put
it on but I love Nails Inc because their polishes tend to last longer than
other brands. Saying that, I never ever wear anything other than white nail
polish on my fingers and toes, don't ask me why, so I doubt I'll
ever get round to using this product. But the one thing that I love about
Glossybox is that if you don't like or use the products, you can always give
them to other people - it's the gift that keeps on giving!
Beautaniq Beauty Nourishing
Mascara (RRP £15.50)
I've never heard of the brand Beautaniq before
but I absolutely love nourishing mascaras that help promote healthy
lash growth. Again, before lockdown I used to wear lash extensions but for the
same reason as I explained with the acrylics, I haven't had them done in a
loooong time. Lash extensions can really damage natural lashes so this product
is perfect to help thicken, lengthen and add curl to them for a more fuller look. Also, girl can never own too many mascaras, right?
So Eco Complexion Sponge
(RRP £6)
Another product that Glossybox knew that I needed
to repurchase - a beauty sponge! Beauty sponges are amazing for blending makeup
to give it a soft finish and I use them for applying foundation, concealer and
powder. This sponge in particular is amazing for using around the eyes because
of the pointed tip and what's even better is that it's eco friendly! If you
read my previous post, you'd know that
I'm placing much more of an importance this year on sustainable beauty so I'm
so happy Glossybox has introduced me to this brand. So Eco promises to do it's
bit for the environment by planning one tree for every 100 products
sold so I will definitely be repurchasing from this brand and checking out what
other products they sell too!
NYX Candy Stick (RRP £6)
You can't go wrong with NYX Cosmetics and it's a
brand that I have used for years. Glossybox did a lucky dip this month where
people could either receive a lipstick, a liquid lipstick or a
highlighter and I got the Candy Stick liquid liner in Cherry Cola. I've
swatched this product and I'm obsessed with the deep purple / burgundy colour
because it's very similar to a Ted Baker lipstick I used to use all the time
when I was younger. I'll definitely be getting my wear out of this when we're
finally allowed back out for bottomless brunch and for dinner!
So that is everything I received in
this months Glossybox! Let me know in the comments if you've ever tried
Glossybox or a different subscription box!
