Cruelty Free, Sustainable Skincare Brands To Invest In For 2021

This post contains gifted promotion in which products are marked with an asterisk (*).

If you've been reading my blog and watching my YouTube for a while now, you'll know that I only purchase and use cruelty free skincare brands that are as sustainable as possible. It's a win-win for the environment and my skin.

It's no secret that the world in progressing towards a more sustainable consumer culture, so if you're wanting to do your part while also using some amazing products, then these brands are a must to check out this year!

Dr Botanicals

One of my absolute favourites, Dr Botanicals is a sustainable, vegan, natural and cruelty free skincare brand which offers some amazing products. Their hemp moisturiser* was a game-changer for me and I carry their lemon superfood butter* everywhere I go. The brand is built on the belief of the potent power botanicals hold, clue is in the name, so each product is packed full of minerals, antioxidants and vitamins which work together to rejuvenate, renew and invigorate the skin.

Face Halo

It's 2021 - It's time to ditch the makeup wipes. Everyone knows that makeup wipes are bad for the environment which is why Face Halo has become the industry leader in sustainable makeup removers. These non-toxic, environmentally friendly and cost-efficient pads can be washed and reused to the equivalent of 500 face wipes and are also much more gentle on the skin. All you do to use them is wet the pad and rub it over your skin to remove makeup - easy. If you're wanting to become more sustainable this year, it's time to wave goodbye to the wipes!

Klairs

I was first introduced to Klairs in 2018 when they kindly sent me their Freshly Juiced Vitamin C mask*. They are one of the most sustainably-minded K-beauty brands who place an emphasis on simple formulations - no colorants, no alcohol, no parabens and no artificial fragrances. The brand also combats animal cruelty and has never tested on animals since the company was founded!

Molton Brown

Molton Brown is probably a brand you've heard of before due to it's rich British heritage, however they've really made their mark on the sustainability front in recent years. Their brand is cruelty free, the recycle, reuse or compost 97% of their facility waste and also have launched a 'refillable collection' which allows customers to repurchase their favourite products with far less packaging. No more stealing their products from fancy hotel rooms!

Circumference

I love wine which is why I got so excited when I heard about Circumference. They recently launched an antioxidant-rich moisturiser by partnering with a family-owned winery and vineyard and created the product from grape leaves - a by product of the wine-making process that is typically discarded. The brands business model includes a number of initiatives such as fair and socially responsible practices with their independent producers/suppliers/farmers and as well as alternative plastic-free packaging. Definitely an up and coming skincare brand to watch out for!

Do you place an importance on cruelty free, sustainable skincare brands?
