2020 Round Up: My Favourite Products From This Year

2021 is two days away.
Excuse me?

2020 has been a blur to say the least but more time at home has meant more time online shopping and more time working on building my skincare and haircare collections.

I've tried out so many new products this year and as a new year always comes with us wanting a fresh start, I thought I'd share some of my favourite products for anyone looking to try some new ones out in 2021!

Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream
I have one word for this eye cream - MAGIC. I have to admit, I never used to use eye cream when I was working to a schedule and was getting my 8 hours a night. But since lockdown threw all that out of the window, some days I've been waking up looking like I haven't even been to sleep.

What I love about this eye repair cream is that it tightens the undereye making you appear more awake while also having a mattifying affect which makes it act great as a primer for your makeup. This product isn't cheap as it costs £49 for only 15ml of product, ouch, but it is definitely worth the money if you suffer with dark circles and a little goes a long way.

L'Oréal Paris Pure Clay Face Mask
You can never go wrong with a face mask and I featured this product on my blog at the very start of the year when I wrote about my favourite face masks for all skin types. Clay masks are my favourite because they really help dry out oil prone skin and lift out any impurities and this is by far one of the best clay masks I own. After I use it I'm always left with more radiant looking skin and it's inexpensive too.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid
You know when you've been drinking your water, eating your vegetables and minding your business and you wake up in the mornings with fresh, glowing skin? Applying this product to your skin the night before you go to sleep basically has the same effect!

I absolutely love products from The Ordinary and as I wrote about it back in April, their hyaluronic acid is one of my holy grails. Back when I wrote that post I was using it first thing in the morning, whereas now I find that the product works best when I apply it before I go to bed as it leaves my skin hydrated, plump and glowing for when I wake up. Who doesn't want that?!

Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie
If you haven't noticed already from my previous blog posts and YouTube videos, this year I definitely became obsessed with haircare. When styling my curly hair, a styling cream is a must and this one by Shea Moisture is one I always reach for. Not only does it smell amazing but it also really helps hydrate my hair and tame any fly-aways. If you're a curly girl and you haven't tried this already, you need to get your hands on it!

Rituals Energising Shower Scrub
Another product which I recently featured on my blog, this shower scrub is super luxurious and gentle on the skin with a gorgeous scent. Unlike most scrubs, this one contains contains very fine pieces almost like grains of sand, which gives an amazing exfoliation and is great for if you have sensitive skin. If you haven't tried this product out, or any products from Rituals, then you know what to add to the top of your skincare shopping list!

What have been your favourite products this year?

  1. I *need* to try the Hyaluronic Acid from The Ordinary! I've heard before that it was a bit sticky on the skin, what do you think? So far I've been using the one from The Inkey List and it's great! :)
