How To Have An At Home Spa Day This Weekend

With everything that's been going on in the past few weeks, I've found myself stuck in in a low vibration with a need of a serious pick me up. I decided that a day to myself would be the perfect remedy and an at-home spa day was the perfect solution!

It was definitely what I needed to get back into a positive headspace so I think that this weekend everyone should dedicate a day to some TLC and do the exact same. To help you set the vibe, I've got some perfect tips.

Have A Total Phone Detox
This is a day for you to focus on yourself, so try and limit how much time you spend on your phone or even better, try not to check it all day! An easy way to do this is to put your phone on 'do not disturb.' This will prevent any notifications from popping up, but will still allow calls to come through- just in case of any emergencies.

Eliminate Those Pores
Spend time giving yourself a facial by steaming your face to open your pores and then applying a nose strip. I use tea tree nose strips from Beauty Formulas which are super inexpensive and you can get on Amazon to be delivered the same day! While you've got your nose strip on, apply one of your favourite face masks to get rid of all the impurities from the open pres. If you need some inspiration on some to use, I did a whole blog post on the best face masks for every skin type.

Take A Bubble Bath
No at-home spa day would be complete without a bubble bath. While you've got your face mask and nose strip on, take a nice, long relaxing soak with a glass of wine, music, or a netflix show on your laptop (placed safely away from the water, obvs). The more bubbles the better!

Don't Forget About Your Hair
Normally you don't get hair treatment at spas. But this is your spa and you offer additional treatments.

While in the bath, apply a hair mask or deep conditioner to work its magic on your hair. Once you're done in the bath, shampoo and condition your hair and apply a generous amount of hair oil to help strengthen and give an added shine. No blowdrying or straightening your hair tonight. Leave it to airdry naturally and use that time to relax.

Cosy Clothes
There's one rule for this at-home spa day - it's pyjamas and dressing gowns only! To complete your perfect spa day and stay in the zen mood, put on some of your comfiest clothes. Now's the time to watch your favourite films or TV shows, get your favourite drink and make your favourite food (or order a takeaway!)

When are you planning to have your next pamper day?

  1. I totally need this right now! And I like how you've mentioned a phone detox because that is definitely needed at a spa day!
