The Closest Thing To Lash Extensions To Get You Through Lockdown

I don't remember the last time I had to put on mascara or wake up without ready to go, long lashes. But since my lash extensions have been falling out one by one during lockdown, leaving me looking rather questionable, I realised I needed to find an alternative ASAP.

I decided to look online for some individual lashes to see if I could attempt to do them by myself. I ordered and tried out a few, but the best ones by far were the Eylure Individuals. Each pack contains 3 different lengths of individuals which go from a fine to thick. They also come with adhesive glue, however I don't use this as I find that it dries up extremely quickly when I'm applying the lashes, so instead I use Duo lash glue.

You can create a very natural look with these extensions, or apply more for a more dramatic look. With the Duo lash glue, they last me around 1/1.5 weeks before I have to start infilling them, however the pack says that if you use the glue provided, the lashes can last around two weeks.

At first the application process was so stressful. Imagine the stress you feel when your strip lashes wont stick down, and then times that by a thousand. I had lashes sticking absolutely everywhere at first as a result of a very inexperienced, shaky hand, but now I have started applying them more often, I find them super easy and quick to apply.

If I'm honest, I'm not sure if I will ever go back to getting £40 salon lash extensions as these individuals only cost around £3.50 per pack and I have been going through around 2/3 a month, so that's quite a saving!

If you try these lashes, make sure to let me know!

  2. Oooh! Glad you shared this. I considered getting lash extensions (when things return to normal) but may try these out first now.

  3. I love the individual Eylure lashes, they're so easy to apply but look so natural too! xo
