I'm not going to lie, I'm not the "working out" type. I'm someone who pays for a gym membership, only to watch the money being taken out needlessly from my account each month because I don't go. I don't know why I don't just cancel it, but there's something satisfying about having a gym membership, which makes me feel better even though I don't use it...
I usually rely on walking to work, to the shops and to university as my form of "exercise." However, now that the UK is in lockdown and I am working from home, I've become more conscious of the lack of exercise that I am getting and how this could go on to affect my health if I don't do something about it. With that, I jumped on Amazon and bought a fitness mat for next day delivery on Prime and I got searching for some fun exercises that I can do in the comfort of my own living room!
I found that I lose interest very quickly with workouts which just consist of continuous reps of exercises such as crunches, lunges and squats, so I discovered other forms of exercise which keep me entertained and engaged throughout the whole exercise such as zumba, boxfit and yoga! I've put together some of my favourite ones, so we can all stay in shape while also being in close proximity to the fridge!
Yoga
Boxfit
Zumba
Let's make it a challenge to do one workout a day. We don't have an excuse when we can do them at home!
I've been doing the same workout routine for a few weeks now and I feel like I need to switch it up so this list is so helpful! I will definitely check out some of the ones you mentioned. It's always great switching things up and keeping things fresh so you don't get bored or lose motivation so thank you xx

Yeah, I find that it's so important to switch it up every now and again so it doesn't become repetitive! x

ReplyDeleteI'm so bad with the gym too! I have actually been working out every day for the past week and a half now, and I'm not doing too bad to be honest. I bought an exercise mat off of Amazon too and a skipping rope! haha xx
